How can I upload my products in bulk on LaunchMyStore?

If you're dealing with a large inventory of products, manually adding them can be quite laborious. That's where bulk addition comes in handy. With this feature, you can swiftly input details for multiple products, establish pricing, and upload them all at once.

Please note that the bulk add function is exclusively accessible on desktop and laptop devices.

To initiate bulk product uploads, navigate to the Products section and select the dropdown arrow. Then, simply click on the 'Bulk upload products' button located in the top right corner.

You'll encounter the following screen. To perform bulk addition, you must first download the Excel template. Simply click on the sample CSV template to initiate the download process.

LaunchMyStore template should be opened once it's downloaded. You'll encounter various columns where you need to input the required details. Let's delve into the significance of these columns.

Product Name

The title for your product.

Title only for product is needed. Variant titles if needed for feed etc are generated automatically.

Categories*

Map and hierarchy where the product belongs to currently, including the subcategories.

Categories hierarchy and guidelines as added in the example. For instance, "Tshirt Product" belongs to "Shirts > Men > Cotton" and "All Products > Men > Tshirts". This means for Tshirt, the first parent category is Shirts, subcategory Men, last level category Cotton, so the product is present in Cotton Sub category. Similarly, the product is also present in Tshirts sub category. However, if the product needs to be present in All Products and Men, then this format to be followed: "All Products > Men > Tshirts, All Products, Men".

Product Description

The description for your product.

Category / Subcategory map is a group-level value. Leave blank for variants in a group. Note: The file you download will have HTML quotes appended. You can use this online tool to get the HTML description for your product.

Price*

Product display price.

The MRP of your product. Discounted Price: Product Selling Price / Slash Price. While updating price, please ensure that the selling price / slash price is not above 'price'.

Variant SKU Code

SKU code added by merchant for unique products on panel.

Variant Label 1

Primary variant label - Title.

Variant Value 1

Primary variant values for SKU.

Ensure that if Color is being used as a Variant Label, the Value corresponding to it is the Hex code of the color required. Ensure that all Color Labels are either in 1 or 2 to ensure uniformness on PDP.

Variant Label 2

Primary variant label - Title.

This can be Size, Material, Pattern etc - Text of your choice, basis your products.

Variant Value 2

Primary variant values for SKU.

Tax Value (%)

SKU level tax value.

Enter values without the % sign here, and you can configure if product prices are inclusive or exclusive of GST by going into Settings > Tax.

HSN

Service code if needed.

Product Weight

Product dead weight.

Enter dead product weight in kgs. Example, for a 4.3 kgs product, enter simply 4.3. For a 500 gms product, enter 0.5.

Image links

Images on a variant level.

Ensure that total images for a product do not exceed 30. Use Google Drive or Dropbox links of the respective images (open for viewing) & separated by commas. For example, abc.xyz,123.com. If you would like separate primary images for the variants, add those images corresponding to the variant SKU. Means, on clicking Green, you want to view product images for the green color, add those corresponding to the green color variant.

Additional Information EAN/HSN Code: Input the EAN/HSN code corresponding to the product.

SEO title: Craft an SEO-optimized meta title for your product.

SEO description: Compose an SEO-optimized meta description for your product.

Note: Inputting data in the SEO categories activates the SEO plugin and incorporates the provided values accordingly.

Product Description: In this section, furnish comprehensive details and information about the product. You can input them as either text or an HTML snippet. For instance:

Text Example: A white T-shirt designed for men, featuring a solid pattern, regular length, round neck, short sleeves, and crafted from knitted cotton fabric. Available in Regular Fit. The model, standing at a height of 6 feet, is wearing a size M.

HTML Example:

PRODUCT DETAILS: White T-shirt for Men, featuring a solid pattern, regular length, round neck, short sleeves, and crafted from knitted cotton fabric.

Size; Fit: Regular Fit. The model (height 6') is wearing a size M.

Variant 1: In this section, specify the first variant of the product.

(Note: Ensure that the column maintains consistent variant types. For example, if Variant 1 for your product is size, subsequent variants should also be related to size.)

After gathering all the details, save the file. On the Bulk add products screen, select the 'Upload File' button to add the file.

A pop-up window will appear prompting you to select the file you recently saved. Choose the file and click on the Upload button. Once the file has been uploaded, a preview of all the products you're adding will be displayed. Take a moment to review the uploaded products for any errors.

Once you've reviewed them, click on the Save and add products button located at the bottom.
